  • ENCEE ACADEMY-S BHARATANATYAM SHOW 2008
    Over 80 students performed an array of Classical Bharatantayam items at this year-s Encee Academy Annual show 19th July 2008. Encee-s Bharatanatyam teacher Ushaji Raghvan prepared and performed of dance items from various regions of Tamil Nadu. Students age 6- 38 years old participated at this years event. The evening ended with certificate presenting and a grand finale.
     
  • Performance at Brent Indian Association July 2008
    Brent Indian Association held a dinner and dance event to raise awareness of Asian Social Issues- Domestic Violence in the Asian Community. Kripali Patel a Bharatanatayam student from Encee Academy of Performing Arts presented a Bollywood dance medley. The event raised over £500.00.
     
  • ENCEE AT READING ARTS FESTIVAL 28TH JUNE 2008
    Reading Asian Arts Festival welcomed Encee Bollywood students at the this years Dhoom Dhamaka Festival 2008. The students performed at Hexagan -Queens Walk Reading. A Holi medley was performed to reflect the the festival and folk dances of India. Lucy a project co-ordinator, " A truly colourful and spectacular dance piece" The programme was part of 1 month celebration of Asian Art, Culture and Heritage. Over 10,000 people visited the events during the festival.
     
  • ASIAN WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARDS 2008
    Encee Kathak Students: Heenal Amin, Dhrutti Dattani and Falgani Upadhyay, performed a medley of Kathak items at this year Asian Achievers Awards on 20th May 2008 at Park Lane Hilton. Co – Founded by Pinky Lliani OBE and Munir Samji in 1999, the Asian Women of Achievement Awards is a truly exciting and inspirational event. The awards applaud and celebrate the commitment, dedication and determination of Asian Women from all over the country and from all walks of life. A total of 44 remarkable Asian women were short listed for the prestigious awards. Encee Students were honoured to be part of such a prestigious event.
     
  • Bollywood Students perform at Edgeware Library
    Edgware Library Resource Centre celebrated its newly refurbished building. The grand opening was held on the 6th May 2008 and Encee Bollywood performers wowed the audience with their ubeat Bollywood items. Binal Trivedi stated "Our Encee students are always participating in community shows, it always the public to engage and learn about Indian Dance and Culture."
     
  • Donna Maries Maypole Dancers and Encee Garba Folk Dance Collaboration
    Students from Encee Academy of Performing Arts and Donna Maria-s Maypole dancers performed a s special commissioned dance blending English Maypole and Indian Folk Dance. The showcase took park in Brent’s Roundwood Park on the 6th July 2008. In total 18 young Encee students participated in this unique collaboration. Vashti Waite Festival-s Manager at Brent Council stated We are very proud of Brent-s cultural diversity and have communities the dance piece as it epitomises how communities can unite together and celebrates each other-s cultures.
     
  • ENCEE ACADEMY-S BRENT DANCE MONTH 2008
    Encee Academy of Performing Arts showcased an array of dance activities for Brent Dance Month. Brent Dance Month focuses on bringing all communities together within Brent, to share with each other their culture, dance styles and their abilities. The event was supported by Brent Council, Big dance London, Arts Council and Momentum.

    As part of Brent Dance Month (7th-31st July), Patidar House has showcased several dance classes for people of all ages and back grounds. Patidar Dance studios covered Kathak, Bharatanatyam , Bollywood, Bolly- Aerobics, Bolly- Funk, Senior Citizen Dance work out, Flamenco, Salsa and Hip hop workshops. Over 180 people participated in the weeks events at Patidar House including Mayor Ralph Fox of Brent and MP Sarah Teather of Brent East.
     
  • ENCEE ACADEMY AT LONDON YOUTH DANCE DAY CITY HALL BIG DANCE EVENT– DROP IT WEEKEND 5TH JULY 2008
    As part of the London Big Dance celebration Encee Academy participated in the London Youth Dance demonstration day at City Hall Scoop 8 more London site on the 5th July 2008.

    Encee Academy student Heenal Amin and Falguni Patel created a unique collaboration: Encee Beats reflecting Bollywood, Bhangra and Hip Hop dance moves and music.

    The event demonstrated both vocational and professional and artists. The event finale included over 50 dance companies getting involved in an out door choreographed.
     
  • ENCEE ACADEMY AT HARROW UNDER ONE SKY FESTIVAL
    On Sunday 29th June 2008 Harrow Council held it-s annual Under One Sky festival and Encee Academy showcased three dances, a workshop run by Encee-s Folk Dance teacher Binal Trivedi and had a stall promoting the activities of the academy. Encee Academy was part of the ABi Business enterprise zone. ABI managed the Enterprise Zone and provided stalls and stage for a number of creative companies to showcase their product and services.

    The event was attend by over 10,000 people from Harrow and neighbouring boroughs.

    Encee Academy generated a lot of interest from visitors wanting to learn what-s on offer.
     
  • Illusions of Colour Dance and Drama show 3rd May 2008
    Encee Academy - Illusions of Colours- project to celebrate the festival Holi took place on the 3rd May 2008 at Induben Ratilal Auditorium. The project enabled young people to take part in dance drama and poetry. In all 85 students took part, some performed on stage for the first time in front of a packed audience. Guests Mayor Harshadbhai B Patel were welcomed with a mark of colour. The priduction was sponsered by ICICI Bank - Wembley, Brent Council and coverage by Rayat TV.
